SOLAR RAYS

In this tutorial we will learnt to create sunlight rays on our images.


We will be using MS Paint and Paint Shop Pro.

As a start I used the swimming pool from previous tutorials, but you can use any image.

 

STEP BY STEP:

As you can see I first introduced a wall and some windows to the swimming pool image (1) .

On a blank BMP draw your sunlight rays using any color (I sued red) (2), copy them and having your color as transparent paste them on your image taking care they come from the "windows" or whatever light source you defined (3). Select your new image (the rays converted on image slices) (4) and in Paint Shop Pro apply "Brightness and contrast" depending on the intensity you want to achieve (I used 40 for brightness and 10 for contrast).

Paste your new image over the original (in place) and you will get something like this.
